MTN’s goal was to be the enabler that brings the nation closer to its passion for Rugby in a way that nobody else does. To engage supporters in entertaining activations through unique content experiences, and competitions and tell stories that fans won’t find anywhere else. By having supporters “tune in” for an experience that will complement the game they will watch.
The 2022 season was a great success welcoming fans back to stadiums for the first time in two years and a proven launch pad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup as the Springboks defend their champion status.
WHAT WE DID
Developed a content strategy aimed towards creating engaging content that will hero the Springboks as pioneers of progress and, in turn, equip fans to rally together as a nation behind the world champions.
By identifying the various opportunities within the 2022 global rugby conversation and calendar, Moonsport was able to create a unique content strategy for each of the Springboks Test Series. Always bringing it back to engaging with the fans in new and exciting ways.
