BRIEF
Rugby 365 and Rugby Pass wanted to stay relevant and tap into new audiences while keeping up with the quickly-changing pace of the media landscape. So, they gave Moonsport three objectives:
- Grow the number of unique user visits to the page.
- Get readers to read more than just the story they had clicked on.
- Grow their social media following and engagement numbers.
RESULTS
By the end of the campaign, the stats spoke for themselves:
- Readership increased by a staggering 245%.
- Pageviews increased by 189%.
- Sessions from social increased by 456% – with Facebook having an increase of 655%.
These amazing results proved to us that listening is as important as talking and that the right content, delivered at the right time, to the right person, is king.

WHAT WE DID
Through the initial investigation of the ecosystem we were quickly able to:
Identify top-performing content and relevant performance benchmarks. Understand traffic sources and consumption patterns. Define audience and behaviour By further integrating advanced analytics on each platform of the ecosystem, we developed specific distribution strategies for each platform within the ecosystem – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, and Bleacher. We used live data to direct topic choice and editorial style, allowing us to constantly improve reach, consumption and engagement as a whole.
