In 2019, SA Rugby partnered with Moonsport to elevate the Cape Town 7s experience, aiming to make it the highlight of the HSBC World Sevens Series. Our innovative two-day event featured unprecedented fan engagement with six cameras and dynamic fan engagement tactics displayed on Africa's largest temporary in-stadium screen, spanning 320 square meters.
This ground-breaking approach garnered widespread attention, making the HSBC Cape Town 7s one of the year's most talked-about rugby events. With a continued entertainment partnership since 2019, the most recent 2023 installment saw Moonsport assist World Rugby and SA Rugby in launching the newly established global SVNS brand. A celebration of Rugby Sevens, aimed to engage younger audiences with immersive experiences blending sport, entertainment, and culture against the backdrop of Table Mountain - and it did exactly that through a jam-packed multi-day sports presentation solution of endless entertainment.
